An inbound call center is one
in which the calls come from outside sources and
come into the call center by way of
telecommunications systems designed to distribute
and handle such calls.
There are many answering
services and call centers that are both inbound and
out-bound in nature. Our company, the Successful
Office Group does both, but our outbound calls are
on a limited basis.
Typically an outbound call
center will have many reps whose chief function
would be to cold call, or call out rather than take
calls for clients. When a client needs follow-ups,
sales help and so on, we do the outbound calls for
the client.
